摘要
As a trial to get a new polymer that can be used for the preparation of an ionic polymer-metal composite (IPMC) that is melt processable for use in actuators, we synthesized the acrylic copolymer of fluoroalkyl methacrylate and 2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propanesulfonic acid (SA) and observed its performance as an electroactive IPMC The effects of the SA monomeric unit content in the copolymer, the membrane thickness, and the kind of cation on the actuations, current, and displacement, as a result of voltage applied between platinum electrodes through the membrane, were examined.
