摘要
In the collective consciousness there is a stigmatizing connection between aggressiveness and schizophrenia. In order to examine the real correlation between aggressiveness - schizophrenia, 60 randomly selected paranoid schizophrenia outpatients were assessed with the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) and the Strategic Approach of Coping Scale (SACS). The PANSS scores were not connected with the SACS antisocial action subscale (r=.109 for the total score, r=-.233 for positive symptoms, r=-.125 for negative symptoms, r=.128 for general symptoms), neither with the aggressive action subscale (r=.072 for the total score, r=.198 for positive symptoms, r=-.094 for negative symptoms, r=.097 for general symptoms). In this study, antisocial or aggressive coping strategies were not related to the intensity of the paranoid schizophrenia symptoms. Hopefully, these findings will contribute to the anti stigma fight that the modern medicine and psychology are carrying for the last decades.
