Optical properties of core/shell nanoparticles: Comparison of TiO2/Ag and Ag/TiO2 structures

摘要
Absorption properties of core/shell small nanoparticles are investigated using Mie theory. Results show large and wide absorption spectrum for the semiconductor particle coated by metal as a combination of resonances inside (semiconductor-metal interface) and outside of the metal layer. For metal particle coated by semiconductor only resonance inside (metal-semiconductor interface) is observed. (C) 2017 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
