摘要
Active substances were taken from 27 strains of marine bacteria that inhibit the germ Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538, which is pathogenic to human beings. The spectrum of action against bacteria that are pathogenic to animals were determined through the use of antibiograms with similar bacterial concentrations (0.5 Mc Farland pattern). Among the 27 strains studied, 3 of them (11.11%) were active against some pathogenic bacteria. The strains of Rhodococcus equi, Listeria monocytogenes and Brucella abortus, pathogenic against animals, were the most affected by the antibacterial substances, and the strain Staphylococcus aureus (isolated from Gallus gallus) was the least affected. The active substance produced by the marine strain Chromobacterium sp. SnSF(30)27498 (isolated from the coral Stephanocoenia michelinii) inhibited 100% of the pathogenic bacteria. This substance, as well as the substance produced by the strain Chromobacterium sp. PaSF(48)27498 (isolated from the coral Porites astreoides) showed the largest inhibition halos against bacteria that are pathogenic to animals. In view of these results, marine bacteria are considered to have a great potential for producing active substances against bacteria that are pathogenic to animals.
