摘要
State-of-the-art treatment for mitral regurgitation (MR) has been and remains surgical mitral valve (MV) repair. Several transcatheter-based innovations however have been introduced to facilitate MV repair. This article aims to relate the recent developments in transcatheter MV repair to the current standard of MV surgery for treatment of MR from a surgeon's point of view.
