摘要：
Concepts and markets of semiconductor diode lasers are introduced in the context of Defense and Security applications. Specific, high profile applications are reviewed and current and future diode laser technology is discussed. Advanced diode laser technology as it pertains to Infrared Countermeasures applications is reviewed in detail along with recent 2um diode laser results and advanced packaging product architectures from nLIGHT.
