摘要
communication bandwidth and energy was limited in Wireless sensor networks, hence it is possible to reduce the network overhead by transmitting the quantized information. This paper conducted a research on the target localization method of wireless sensor networks, adopting an acoustics energy attenuation model. Firstly, the strategy of logarithmic quantization based on the attenuation characteristic of acoustic energy was proposed. Then deduced a likelihood function based on quantized information. Finally, conducted the unknown acoustic source localization using the maximum likelihood method. The simulation results indicated that the proposed method was able to estimate the location of unknown acoustic source relatively accurately. Therefore, on the premise of satisfying the localization accuracy, it was possible to save the energy of network by reducing the number of bits transmitted.
