Technological approach of optimization and modeling of process of gas natural industry

摘要
Gas industry has been incorporating new technologies in process control. Today recent advances in process simulation and control allow not only to model the dynamic behavior of the processes; also a, be optimized in real time as well. Because gas plants have no facilities the outlet or inlet where natural gas can be temporarily stored for reprocessing or postprocessing while the process reaches its optimum, an opportunity can be lost with no chance to regain profitability The optimum must be determined in real time in to maintain the process at the maximum profitability Today are two (2) modeling technologies where on line optimization can be performed: empirical and rigorous models. The former is based on non-lineal regressions algorithms, and the latter on first principles. This paper presents a comparative analysis of both technologies, as well as the potential application in natural gas industry.
