摘要：
Emission-free dry gas seals for various machines having various speed are much in demand. Advanced single-arranged aerostatic non-contact dry gas seal is one of them. This gas seal keeps the seal gap non-contact with barrier gas, that is purged between the seal faces from external source at a slightly higher pressure than process gas pressure. This barrier gas surely prevents process gas leakage and the seal can be performed as an emission-free dry gas seal. The seals have been applied widely into various machines such as fans, mixers and screw compressors that deal with hazardous, poisonous gas and gases with powder or oil mist, in the chemical and medical field. In this paper, the design, properties and applications of this aerostatic dry gas seal are described.
