Multiscale evolutionary optimization of Functionally Graded Materials

摘要
The paper is devoted to the multiobjective and multiscale optimization of composite structures made of Functionally Graded Materials (FGMs). The aim of the optimization is to design structures made of FGM by modifying the microstructure parameters in order to satisfy contradictory criteria on a macro scale. Numerical homogenization methods are used to perform a multiscale analysis. Finite element method is employed to solve a boundary-value problem in both scales. Computational intelligence method in form of a multiobjective evolutionary algorithm is used to perform the optimization procedure. Numerical example presenting the efficiency of the proposed attitude is attached.
