摘要
The subject of the author's research is the evaluation of the logistical performance primarily of the member states of the European Union. The high level of logistics performance of the country and its growth is a positive signal for all entrepreneurs, investors and traders who intend to operate in a particular national market. The article first deals with the methodology of determining the logistics performance index (LPI) by the World Bank, then the calculation of the index of change in the overall logistics performance of individual member countries and the index of changes in the evaluation of logistics performance of countries according to six criteria. The key outputs of the article include determining the specific value of the logistics performance of the 27 countries of the European Union, using the LPI index, determining their position in the world and among the member states of the European Union. Last but not least, the result of the research is also the determination of the change in the logistical performance of European countries on the basis of the calculation of the basic index. Using these calculations, Member States are divided into three groups, those that show an improvement in 2018 compared to 2010 and those that show a deterioration. The last group is represented by countries in which there was no change in the value of the overall logistics performance. The next part of the article examines the main causes of positive and negative changes in the index of logistics performance of individual member states of the European Union, using the basic index of evaluation of countries according to individual criteria, which monitors the World Bank in determining LPI.
