摘要
An evaluation of the challenges of leadership in commercial, academic and governmental organizations is undertaken within an interactional framework of leaders, followers and situations. Leaders of successful organizations share many common skills and traits. Leaders must carry out their responsibilities within the boundaries of the organizations, which demands an understanding of the environment and followers. The leader must have firmly established values, a vision others can see and believe, and be able to motivate and inspire the group toward achieving that vision. This paper expands upon each of these issues using the foundations of leadership found in the literature.
