摘要
The purpose of this study was to establish a computer model of baroreflex control and to integrate it into a mathematical model of the human arterial circulation without altering rite realistic simulation of flow and pressure curves. Baroreflex control was implemented as a coupled reference input combination respecting both mean pressure and pulsatility. Matching the physiologic situation, the baroreflex produced its effects by changing the terminal resistances in each part of the arterial system according to results obtained from animal experiments. Simulation of experiments (increase and decrease of cardiac output represented by aortic flow) revealed a good approximation of the model to physiologic control mechanisms, while the physiologic shapes of flow and pressure curves were maintained.
