摘要
A person's body image is a representation in the mind and the brain (mind-brain). It may be socially endorsed or idiosyncratic, even bizarre, by other people's criteria. In cases of sex reassignment, the three principles of body transformation are exemplified, namely, realignment and enhancement, obliteration and relinquishment, and augmentation and amplification. © 1996 Human Sciences Press, Inc.
