摘要
This study aims at investigating Chinese undergraduate students'beliefs about writing in English. A survey with a questionnaire designed based on Horwitz's (1988) BALLI was conducted. Description of the participants' beliefs about writing in English was done based on statistical analysis results. Three major points of the findings are worth noting: the participants believed that writing in English was different from writing in Chinese; they believed that learning writing in English was a long-term task; their motivation to learn writing in English was mostly instrumental.
