A novel micelles self-degraded Polypyrrole Nanotube-Cobalt Oxide (PPYNTs/Co3O4) nanocomposite has been synthesized by using In situ-polymerization and hydrothermal route and examined the performance of electrochemical sensor for detection of Ascorbic Acid. In this present work, Co3O4 sensing material plays an important role in detecting target analyte of Ascorbic acid due to cobalt oxide having a rich oxidation state of Co3+, Co2+ and conjugated PPYNTs bounded nitrogen group with amine and imine chain. This functional group makes easily adsorbs the analyte which may help to show high oxidation activity. The modified PPYNTs/Co3O4 GCE electrochemical detection of Ascorbic acid possesses a wide linear range from 5 mu M to 80 mu M, a low LOD of 0.23 mu M, and exhibits a high sensitivity of 14.48 mu A mu M-1 cm(-2) respectively. The PPYNTs/Co3O4 GCE electroactive material is highly favourable for the electrochemical detection of Ascorbic acid, and a developed sensor was used in real sample analysis, with ascorbic acid recoveries ranging from 100.72 % to 105.26 %, and an achieved RSD ranging between 0.94 % and 2.0 %.
