摘要
One of the main issues that needs to be addressed in inductive charging systems for Electric Vehicles (EVs) are the electromagnetic (EM) fields produced due to the high frequency currents in the magnetic coupler. Especially in the case of dynamic inductive charging, where the vehicle is charging while moving on the road, it is essential to examine the various relative positions between the primary and the secondary pad of the magnetic coupler. This paper evaluates the EM fields produced in the case of dynamic inductive charging, while taking into account the limits set by relevant international guidelines that will ensure the safety of the people near and inside the vehicle. The results indicate that high EM fields are expected at certain positions of the EV over the station, however a specifically designed control system can be applied in order to significantly reduce the relevant EM fields.
