摘要
Introduction: Bariatric surgery is considered the most effective tool in the control and treatment of severe obesity. The existence of eating disorders is one of the factors that can compromise adherence and treatment. Objective: To identify eating disorders in the pre and postoperative period of bariatric surgery in Brazil. Materials and Methods: This is an integrative review of the national literature, carried out in the databases BVS, SCIELO, Portal Periodicos Capes and PUBMED. The temporal cut considered was a total of five years from 2014 to 2018. For the search of the article's, selected descriptors were used in consultation with the Descriptors in Health Sciences being "bariatric surgery", in combination with "bulimia nervosa", " eating and eating "," anorexia nervosa "and" binge eating disorder "- in Portuguese and English. Results: 34504 publications were found, after refining using the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the final sample consisted of 9 articles. The most evaluated behavior was binge eating. The emotional factor was present in all articles analyzed. There was a tendency, after five years of surgery, for the emotional state of the patients to interfere more in feeding, this feeding behavior was also greater among those who regained weight. Conclusion: The presence of eating disorders, mainly of binge eating disorder, is high, appearing both in the pre- and postoperative periods. Having an impact on both weight loss and quality of life. Eating disorders do not disappear with surgery alone, an interdisciplinary follow-up is necessary.
