One-dimensional conduction in multi-wall carbon nano-tubes

摘要
Low Temperature magneto-transport in multi-wall carbon nano-tubes prepared by dc arc discharge, has been studied. Those tubes show a highly distributed electrical resistance from metallic to semi-insulating conductors. No evidence for the exponential behavior is found down to I K, but the power law temperature dependence is found to be clear as the conductance is reduced. We discuss these observations to try to fit Tomonaga Luttinger theory for one dimensional conductor.
