Dependence of the electrophysical properties and crystal structure of Ca1-x Y x TiSi1-x Fe x O5 solid solutions on their composition

摘要
The results of the electrophysical and X-ray diffraction studies of the pseudobinary system CaTiSiO5-YFeTiO5 are given. All the synthesized Ca1 - x Y (x) TiSi1 - x Fe (x) O-5 solid solutions (0 a (c) 1/2 x a (c) 1/2 1) were found to be semiconductors. The replacement of Ca and Si atoms by Y and Fe atoms led to a significant change in the electric conductivity, dielectric permittivity, forbidden gap, and molar polarization; a complete replacement of Ca and Si atoms led to growth of electric conductivity of the samples by four orders of magnitude. At 1170 K, the CaTiSiO5-YFeTiO5 system was found to consist of two homogeneous phases with wide homogeneity regions: the alpha phase samples were diamagnets, and the beta phase samples were ferromagnets. The crystallographic parameters of the synthesized solid solutions were also determined.
