摘要
The effects of Nd, W, Pt, Sn elements on the glass-forming ability and mechanical properties of Fe-Ni-Zr-Si-B glassy alloys have been investigated. The additions of M elements (Nd. W, Pt) were found to be effective for the extension of the supercooled liquid region (Delta T-x=59 similar to 63 K) and the largest AT, value reached 63 K in both Fe63Si3B10Ni7Zr6Cr8Nd3 and Fe63Si3B10Ni7Zr6Cr8W3 glassy alloys. The T-rg (T-g/T-l) values were obtained as 0.54 in the Fe63Si3B10Ni7Zr6Cr8Nd3 alloy and 0.52 in the Fe63Si3B10Nd3Zr6Sn15 alloy, respectively. The present bulk glassy alloys exhibit high Vickers hardness values of 831 to 1033 H-v and high compressive strength up to 2.71 GPa combined with plastic strain of about 0.65%. The crystallization behavior and hybrid-composite microstructure of these new Fe-based amorphous alloys were also discussed and related to the glass forming ability.
