摘要
Pd8Ni92 (111) and (110) surfaces have been investigated using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and low energy ion scattering. As expected, a high rate of Pd segregation is observed on both faces leading to Fd surface concentrations of 76 and 81 at.% on the (111) and (110) surfaces, respectively. The catalytic performances of these surfaces have been studied for the 1,3-butadiene hydrogenation reaction. The catalytic activity of these alloys is greatly enhanced relative to that of the pure Fd(lll) and (110) surfaces. (C) 1998 Published by Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
