摘要
A method for post-procedural peak skin dose (PSD) estimation was developed, using dose reports provided by the angiography device and pre-recorded dosimetric characteristics. A study was conducted to implement the developed method. Dose reports of 20 consecutive coronary angiography (CA) and percutaneous coronary transluminal angioplasty (PTCA) procedures performed on two different angiography devices were collected. The results were used to set local reference values and to provide local equations for PSD calculation from other dosimetric quantities.
