BackgroundOwing to increasing digitalization, many new digital health services have emerged in recent years.ObjectivesThe aim of this study is to obtain an overview of existing digital health programs. Structural and quality analyses are at the forefront, especially for digital physical activity offers.MethodThe quantitative survey was carried out using internet research. In this qualitative survey, structural and quality-related characteristics of digital physical activity offers were recorded.ResultsOverall, an internet search resulted in 177 digital health programs. Most programs focus on Fitness. Many structural characteristics, which are recommended for effective implementation, have been found in selected physical activity offers. Significant differences have been established regarding the implementation of these characteristics. These differences are overwhelmingly concerned with the degree of individualization and the implementation of content.ConclusionDigital physical activity offers show great potential for giving humans opportunities to improve and maintain their health status owing to low-threshold access. However, future digital physical activity offers, explicitly aimed at health promotion and prevention, should be separated more clearly from fitness offers. There is a great need for research, particularly with regard to the effects of specific digital health and sports programs using high-quality studies.
