摘要
The role of e-learning in the educational process is growing fast - educational institutions are offering more and more e-courses. E-learning, thanks to its convenient use, has contributed a lot to the availability of education. At the same time, one should pay continuous attention to the development of technology and information systems quality. Estonian Aviation Academy (EAVA) has systematically fostered e-learning in the study process since 2006. The post of an educational technologist was created, the Moodie e-learning environment implemented, the Strategy for e-Learning 2006-2010 approved. EAVA participated in the EU programmes supporting the creation of e-learning objects and courses: e-Voti (2005-2008) and BeSt (2008-2013). During the period 2012-2017, the number of courses with e-support increased twice. It was found out that 46% of the students studying and working simultaneously wished to have more e-courses. Such students formed a half of the respondents. E-learning has become an inseparable part of the study process in Estonian Aviation Academy. In 2012 and 2017, surveys were carried out in the Academy with the purpose of specifying the students' expectations about e-learning Comparing the 2012 and 2017 surveys, the last one showed there were no more problems with students' access to the e-learning environment. 100% of the respondents had internet access outside school. In 2012, 5% of the respondents did not have this possibility. The survey shows that e-learning has an increasing role in the present-day study process and especially in applying alternative curricula modules and subjects within mobility programmes. There is evident necessity to continue the development of digital teaching and learning opportunities.
