摘要
Al-SiC composite has improved mechanical properties which can be used in automobile sector to make different automobile parts. In the present study Al-SiC composites with different wt% of micron SiC particles have been fabricated by stir casting and the ultrasonic assisted stir casting process. The effect of ultrasonication for uniform mixing of the micron size SiC particles on the mechanical properties has been studied. The various mechanical properties like Tensile strength, Compressive strength, density, hardness etc. have been measured. (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
