摘要
The properties of hydrogel-supported optical-microcavity sensors were discussed. The refractive index unit (RIU) sensitivity response for hydrogel-supported microcavity membrane was measured and contrasted to a wafer-supported control. It was found that the wavelength shift sensitivity was attenuated by mounting in the hydrogel by a factor ∼2.5. Simulations suggest that wavelength-shift sensitivity can be enhanced by operating at longer wavelengths.
