摘要
The effects of changes to the geometry of a hydrocyclone were investigated. Mathematical models of swirling flow in hydrocyclones and of particle and fibre flow in hydrocyclones are presented. The effects of changes to cone angle, length of the cylindrical chamber and the vortex finder, feed diameters and exit diameters, vortex finder diameters and overall barrel diameter were studied. The optimal hydrocyclone geometry was determined.
