摘要
This article deals with the representations and presentations of female identity in the performative work of the Mexican artist Lorena Wolffer. The artist, inserted in a context of narco-culture, ex-plores artistic alternatives to the aestheticisation and invisibilisation of violence projected onto the female body. Through the case study of her works Territorio Mexicano (1995-1997), If She Is Mexico, Who Beat Her Up? (1997-1999), Mientras dormiamos (el caso Juarez) (2002-2012) and Expuestas: registros publicos (2007-2013), she raises and denounces extreme violence against women, offering creative strategies and participatory cultural interventions to heal the victims and transform reality.
