摘要
Dialysis process is studied with a simple dialysis cell, consisting of an ion-exchange membrane, an electrolyte solution on the one side of the membrane and water, on the other. Galvanic current that appeared in the cell, when it is supplied by one electrode in the solutions on each side of the membrane, is used to indicate dialysis process and to determine the electrolyte concentration in two ways: by using current versus ion concentration dependence - calibration curve method, and by following current readout when a standard solution of the electrolyte under investigation is added to a water and finding zero concentration gradient point - method of zero concentration gradient.
