摘要
The paper would briefly highlight the history of e-mobility, global & Indian e-mobility trends. In the following section, the paper analyzes some of the key challenges that are present today with respect to the adoption of electric vehicles for the various vehicles segments. Data has shown major challenges of e-mobility are high product cost, low range per charge, inadequate charging infrastructure. All these issues typically are like a "hen or egg" situation. However with Financial measure (decrease tax, subsidy) & make in India initiative product cost can be reduced One of the positive aspects with electric vehicles is that these can be charged at many places like homes, workplaces, malls, parking spots etc. However, proper and suitable charging infrastructure will need to be in place at such locations. Battery Swapping technology will eliminate wait time for charging, make better use of land, reduce the size of batteries in vehicles and will give an increased available run time. The data shows Electrification of 4W in India is still year away. The paper would highlights, different business models, India's first multi-modal e-mobility pilot, Lithium Urban Technologies (P) Ltd & Revolt bike & Indian government initiatives to push EV adoption in India. Prioritization in EV approach will help India to get its EV adoption target.
