摘要
A bilaminar consisting of a piezoelectric ceramic disk mounted on a polymer disk was chosen to build an ultrasonic proximity detector in air. The influences of the polymer and the ceramic thicknesses on the transducer's dynamic behaviour are investigated using finite element modelling, for various configurations. The influence of the type of polymer is also studied. Prototypes operated at frequencies higher than 200 kHz were built. These allowed detection ranges higher than 2 m, with a cheap amplifier and detection circuitry.
