摘要
Feedback on students' writings, especially at the university level, must be timely and constructive to enhance overall academic writing skills, which requires purposeful planning. The aim of this research study was to investigate the effectiveness of digital feedback on Arab English Foreign Language students' writings in ubiquitous learning. Thirty-eight students enrolled in an intermediate-level English course at a public, all-female university in the UAE participated in the study. The researchers created digital screen-recorded video feedback to deliver individualized oral feedback to the students. Students watched the video, took notes, then rewrote the task based on the feedback. Data was collected through guided reflections, a digital survey, and focus groups at the end of the semester. Results showed that using digital feedback created both a positive and active learning environment and promoted learner autonomy. The digital platform allowed learning to be continuous and ubiquitous. Findings present several practical pedagogical implications and suggestions for future research.
