Influence of Pre-sowing Stimulation on the Sugar Beet Development

摘要
In both laboratory and field experiments carried out in the years 2014-2015 the influence of pre-sowing stimulation on germination and plants development during vegetation, in period of intensive mass increase and sucrose storage was analyzed. On the first day of laboratory and field research the seeds were treated with glow discharge with power 0,5 kW and pressure 0,9 Tr and with Akra Saat dressing at a dose of 0,25 l of preparation per 0,5 l of water. Pre-sowing stimulation of sugar beet seeds with glow discharge and Akra Saat preparation in the phase of germination had modified the morphological traits of seedlings. Seedlings developed from seeds treated with glow discharge had longer roots, hypocotyl stalk and cotyledons. In the period of intensive roots and leaves mass increase the pre-sowing stimulation with glow discharge results in higher weight of roots and shoots and their higher dry weight content.
