Surface segregation and order-disorder phase transitions of ultra-thin fcc films

摘要
In this paper, we investigate order parameters and the surface segregation parameter extensively under different surface confinement fields (SC fields). The critical temperatures of phase transition and surface segregation were calculated. The results show that surface segregation greatly affects phase transitions of ultra-thin films. The correlation of surface segregation and ordering for fcc metal and semiconductor alloy films are analyzed. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
