摘要
This paper brings together a number of themes: the role of the researcher's own experience in reporting that of others; the capacity of narrative methods in the social sciences to report human experience; and the virtue of the self-consciously fictional story as a form which can bring and hold together the experiences of the researcher and of the 'subject': the centrepiece of the paper is a short story located in a Special Education setting.
