This article reviews the nature of dyslipidemia in the context of chronic kidney disease; diabetes, lipids, and kidney disease; renal failure and lipids; possible mechanisms for the interaction between kidney disease and dyslipidemia; and treatment interventions for patients with kidney disease and dyslipidemia.
