摘要：

A web-based interactive multimedia pediatric asthma computer tutorial (IMPACT (C)) is being tested in a randomized controlled clinical trial. Two hundred and twenty asthmatic children under the age of 18 and their caregivers were randomly assigned to a control group or an intervention group. All children enrolled into the study received printed asthma education materials, In addition, the intervention group used the interactive multimedia asthma education program, Asthma knowledge, quality of life, resource utilization, symptom history and pulmonary function test data were gathered at the baseline visit and on two subsequent visits in the year following the initial visit.
