Education as a policy of local integration of refugee children: an analysis of its effectiveness in the Spanish State

摘要
Refugee law is one of the great challenges of the 21st century, in view of the fact that different countries have experienced a large influx of forced migration, including Spain on the European, country that in the last decades have received a large number of asylum seekers/refugee, including children, which, according to the definition of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, 1989, are individuals under the age of eighteen. To address the refuge, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees has created some lasting solutions for those in refugee situations, including local integration. Among the local integration policies, one of the main ones is education, human and fundamental right embodied in international treaties and country laws of different countries. However, despite the fact that the international protection documents deal with this vulnerable group, both in terms of age, refuge, and education, Brazilian and Spanish doctrines are still incipient regarding the approach of children in situations of refuge and their inclusion to the host society, as a way to enjoy the inherent rights of the human person, which is why the choice of theme.
