摘要
Nickel oxide (NiO) is widely known as a typical easyplane-type antiferromagnet with a Neel temperature of TN=525 K. Despite its simple cubic structure, the magnetic structure has not been fully understood yet. Indeed, antiferromagnetic resonance (AFMR) modes observed so far are not consistent with the standard two-sublattice model. In this study, a frequency-domain terahertz (THz) spectroscopy technique using continuously tunable photomixers was applied to a single-crystalline NiO, and magnetic field dependence of the AFMR mode at 1 THz was obtained for three different field orientations for the first time.
