摘要：

Hegel mentions Die Leiden des jungen Werther's main character as an example of his personal notion of "beautiful soul". The German philosopher doesn't explicitly include Bekenntnisse einer schonen Seele's main character. The omission is curious, because the aforementioned work is a Goethe's Roman too. The aim of this paper is to provide an explanation of the choice made by Hegel.
