Effects of replacing Fe by La or Ga in Mg0.5Cu0.5Fe2O4.: Humidity sensitivity

摘要
Pure and gallium- or lanthanum-substituted MgCu ferrites have been prepared by solid state reaction. The phase composition and lattice parameters were determined by XRD, while the effect of Ga and La substitutions on the granular structure was studied by SEM. We found that the gallium can enhance the humidity sensitivity of the MgCu ferrite and, thus, the Ga-substituted MgCu ferrite can be used as sensitive material for ceramic humidity sensors.
