摘要：
Metaphorical modes of expression are characteristic of all adult discourse, and grammatical metaphor is characteristic of written language. This paper discusses the contemporary study of conceptual metaphor and grammatical metaphor, which includes the development of conceptual metaphor and grammatical metaphor and the influence in language use.
