摘要
We have systematically studied the magnetic properties of the Kondo lattice system CeNi1-xCoxGe2 by using magnetic-susceptibility experiments. With increasing chi, hybridization between the localized 4f and the conduction-band electrons is enhanced. The magnetic order observed for the x = 0 composition is suppressed below 2 K for x >= 0.1. At high temperatures, the inverse magnetic susceptibilities for all x values are well fitted by a Curie-Weiss law with an effective magnetic moment of 2.55 mu(B). Anomalies found in the low-temperature region of the magnetic susceptibility are well explained by the Kondo model for a degenerate impurity spin J = 1/2, 3/2 and 5/2 in the Coqblin-Schrieffer limit for the Co concentration ranges of x <= 0.6, 0.7 <= x <= 0.8, and x >= 0.9, respectively.
