摘要
Research of land cover based on high-resolution image and GIS technology has become the new direction for the land cover research; in this paper, the author tries to utilize the global 30-meter land cover data and combine with DEM data and Koppen's climatic subdivision to research the spatial distribution and change characteristics of the land cover in Burma. In the paper, the author proposes that in terms of large regional space, the land cover types except for the ice land and forest land are concentrated in the valley area of Irrawaddy River and the intermountain basin in center of Shan Plateau; in terms of the changes, the forest land, cultivated land and water on the nationwide scale are the fastest increasing land cover types; in terms of the divisions and states, there is almost no change in Karen State, Mong State and Kaya State in the southeast of Burma; except for the bare land, Sagaing is the division with the largest increase of various land cover types; the cultivated lands and forest lands increase at the highest speed in Shan State, and other land cover types are on the relatively bigger increase; for the wetland changes, the coastal divisions and states are dominant; for the water with the largest increase, the divisions along the middle and lower reaches of the Irrawaddy River are dominant.
