The borophosphate glass-ceramic with composition of 10MgO?40ZnO?15B(2)O(3)?35P(2)O(5) (in wt%) was prepared by conventional solid-state reaction method. These findings show that microwave dielectric properties of the glass-ceramics depend on microstructure and phase composition. And the sintering temperature has direct influence upon the principal crystalline phases containing Zn2Mg(PO4)(2), Zn-3(BO3)(2) and Zn-3(PO4)(2).The glass-ceramic with dense and uniform microstructure after sintering at 760 ;C for 150 min exhibits optimal dielectric properties of ?(r);=;4.44, Q;;f;=;14760 GHz (13.8 GHz), ?(f);=;2.2 ppm ;C-?1. Meanwhile, the glass-ceramic can be co-fired with silver electrode and represents good chemical compatibility. These merits show that the obtained glass-ceramic is suitable for LTCC application.
