Performance constrained stabilization of uncertain systems: application to load-frequency control

摘要
In this paper, we propose a new approach to the design of a stable closed-loop system with uncertainties and a predefined performance constraint. We establish a relationship between the ranges of uncertainties and the performance of the system in terms of a well known robustness measure. We derive sufficient conditions for our design method to provide a constant feedback gain that stabilizes a given system with bounded uncertainties and meets the performance requirement. Our method is applied to the problem of load-frequency control for a power system but is applicable to other systems with uncertainties, We provide numerical results to verify that the system can be stabilized while satisfying the performance constraint.
