摘要
The mechanochemical effects (MCE) on magnesium alloys were studied through impedence measurements. The alloys considered were AM50 and AZ91D. The impedence values were provided by the potential-current response plots on the application of a sinusoidal potential through a potentiostatic circuit. The corrosion behavior of strained magnesium alloys was investigated with both the direct current (DC) and electrochemical impedence spectroscopy (EIS) techniques. A three electrode electrochemical cell was used for both AC and DC measurements with an Ag/AgCl as reference electrode and a platinum counter electrode. The correlation between MCE and strain hardening stages provided by DC polarization and EIS technique was confirmed through experiments.
