摘要
Environmental vibrations are increasingly drawing attention in modem society. Protecting built-in areas from exposures to detrimental effects is desired. Herein, an attempt has been made to develop an effective vibration reduction measure in ground-WIB against the manmade vibrations as induced traffic and machine operation. Theoretically, for effective damping mechanism, the present WIB, utilizes the scattering of waves by stiff cell-walls and energy dissipation of fill-in tire shreds. The field test proved the present WIB moire effective than conventional types of wave barriers.
