Essential oil chemical composition of Anacardium occidentale L. leaves from Benin

摘要
The essential oil from of Anacardium occidentale L. was obtained by steam distillation of fresh leaves with a yield less than 0.1%. Analysis made by GC and GUMS identified 182 components. The main compounds were: P-phellandrene + limonene (17.5%), methyl chavicol (11.4%), germacrene B (8%), trans-alpha-bergamotene (7.9%), germacrene D (5.9%), beta-copaene (5.9%), linalool (5.9%), alpha-cadinol (5.9%), beta-caryophyllene (5%), 9-epi-(E)-caryophyllene (5%), beta-phellandrene (4.9%), alpha-phellandrene (4.8%), hexadecanoic acid (4.7%), epi-alpha-cadinol (4.5%), beta-bisabolene (4.4%), epi-alpha-muurolol (4.1%).
